Mission Trip Prayer Guide

We are thankful for the opportunity to send a team to join the Send Relief efforts in Clarkston, GA to serve the immigrant community there.

The team will be gone from July 17–23.  Please pray for Pastor Jason, Chris Straw, Gracie Jones, Curtis and Grady Luken in the following ways.

Clarkston Trip Prayer Guide

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ.

COLOSSIANS 4:2–3

Pray for Travel to Clarkston

Pray the team arrives and returns safely. I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers . . . and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company (Rom 15:30–32).

Pray the team gets the rest they need after their arrival so they may serve well. Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul (3 John 2).

Pray for The Team’s Ministry

Pray for the love of Christ to be evident in the team’s interactions with the community. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Gal 5:14).

Pray that they trust in God’s grace, wisdom, and sovereignty, taking every opportunity to share Christ with those around them. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek (Rom 1:16).

Pray that everything would be to done with the goal of glorifying God. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Cor 10:31).

Pray for Our Team as a Whole

Pray they are unified and enjoy fellowship on this trip. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 15:5).

Pray they will stay close to God and fight for holiness. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation (1 Pet 2:12).

Pray they can build up our local partners and encourage them in the faith and their ministry. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts (Col 4:8).
