Over the years, the Lord has used Indelible Grace Music to deepen my appreciation for lesser-known hymns. The ministry’s founder, Kevin Twit, states, “Our hope is to help the church recover the tradition of putting old hymns to new music for each generation, and to enrich our worship with a huge view of God and His indelible grace.” As a young believer eager for spiritual growth, Laura Taylor’s rendition of John Newton’s hymn “I Asked the Lord” was often on repeat.
(Still growing, by the way!)
I could say the same about several other compositions from Indelible Grace Music. But it seems the music industry operates at a pace just slightly slower than the speed of light. The result, at least for me: I had forgotten about many of these tunes. I had lost track of how well these songs point God’s children back to His character, His promises, His Word.
As I rediscover the joy of this ministry’s music, I thought you might enjoy joining in. Perhaps you’ll hear some of these for the first or the hundredth time. Either way, may God be honored, and may the lips of His people incessantly pour forth praise (Psalm 34:1; 119:171).
Here are five of my favorites:
1. All Must Be Well
2. Beneath the Cross of Jesus
3. For All the Saints
4. Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah
5. Not What My Hands Have Done
