You may have seen the announcement slide for this new initiative and wondered what it’s about. Some people have asked me about it, thinking they know what it is. This new initiative officially kicks off on Sunday, February 7. In the mean time, let me clear up some of the confusion.
This is not about a formal ministry or gathering of the church.
This is not about a personal Bible reading plan.
This is not about praying Scripture.
This is about reading the Bible.
This is about prayer.
This is about obeying God in ways that move us out of our routines.
This is about taking advantage of the routines God has put into our life.
This is about loving Jesus more than we fear others.
This is about obeying Jesus even when we’re complacent.
This is about treasuring Jesus in ways that are evident to others.
This is about seeing Jesus glorified above all things.
