Context and...Cookies!!

As we are approach the end of our study of Esther, we are grateful for its magnificently timed message.  What a wonderful thing that when it seems God is most hidden and passive, He is never more present and active, keeping all His promises in Jesus Christ.

So it’s almost time to unveil the book for our next sermon series.  As has become our new custom, we will do so at an event we have dubbed, “Context & Cookies,” where we announce the next book, read it in its entirety, and enjoy cookies together.  Because of the Covid virus, our inaugural iteration of this event was experienced as merely, “Context &…”  It was a wonderful time nonetheless.  (Ask anyone who was there!)

This time, we will tiptoe toward a normal event.  While not exactly where we will land in the future (that is, everyone bringing a batch of cookies to share), this event will be BYOCbring your own cookies!  Lord willing, as the pandemic abates, we will share cookies at a future event.  This time, we’ll each bring our own and eat them as we fellowship.

So…
